Fishing Reports

We have been experiencing the best snapper fishing I can remember. fish up to 21lb have been caught in the harbour and to 28lb on the west coast. last week we had 5 snaps, 2 trevs and a 22lb kingi on day, 60 snapper the next (14 anglers), 20 snapper the next, 28 puka 2 days later and so on.

The Carters Gone fishing kids comp was a huge success with great weather, 250 + kids and heaps of spotties, herrings a few kahawai, a gurnard and warehou caught. The free bbq, drinks, Southern Bait and entertainment was very much appreciated. graeme signed over 200 hats for kids and there were prizes for everyone.

We have spots available for a sounds trip at easter and midweek puka and snapper trips.

There are plenty of kingis at hunters and the boulder bank and the trench is producing a few bluenose.
