Scanstrut’s new range of Deck Seals have recently passed the stringent international IP waterproof rating tests, IPX6 and IPX7, are now available through Electronic Navigation Ltd (ENL).
The new Scanstrut Deck Seals range are designed to enable easy installation of electronics on board, providing a neat and stylish way of passing cables through the decks. Produced in two materials and catering for 16mm – 40mm connectors, the units are all pre-drilled and supplied with blank inner seals enabling a range of individual or multiple cable sizes to be installed.
Available in marine grade 316 stainless steel or 30% glass-filled nylon, the Deck Seals key features include a strong impact-resistant design and an outer dome-shaped profile functioning as an additional water shield.
Passing the IPX6 and IPX7 tests means that the seals will provide protection against water ingress, for example from heavy seas, and from high-pressure water projected at all angles. The IPX7 test ensures the deck seals will withstand water ingress for up to 30 minutes at a depth of one metre.
The new Scanstrut Deck Seals are available from ENL Dealers nationwide.
