Fish with the experts on Nautic Encounter

10 June 2008

Wouldn’t you just love to spend time on the water with some of the people that know just about every nook, cranny and top spot in the Hauraki Gulf?

Nautic EncounterWell now you can. Nautic Encounter's 'Fishing with the experts' trips gets you out on the water with an expert who has spent more than his fair share of time fishing and getting to know our very own Hauraki Gulf intimately.

Bruce Duncan and John Eichelsheim have teamed up with Dale Prosser, the owner/skipper of Nautic Encounter to bring you the opportunity to learn the techniques of winter stray-lining and the latest fashion in fishing, softbaits. Its not just the theory though, it’s the opportunity to put that theory into practice and have a fun day on the water fishing with people who know where to go and what to do when you get there.

John EichelsheimJohn is one of the acknowledged experts in the field of softbait fishing, and writer for a number of fishing magazines and The Fishing Website. He will enable you to make sense of the many options available in softbaits, the ways to fish them, together with the advantages of using the specialised tackle such as super braid and light graphite rods. Enjoy a day packed with information, blow out the winter cobwebs and get the low-down on how to master this very exciting and effective form of fishing..

Bruce DuncanBruce is well known through New Zealand fishing circles being involved in Spot X publications where he shares his top fishing possies, along with his books that are regarded as everyone’s bible for fishing the Hauraki Gulf. His vast experience is derived from many years of pursuing his passion of stray-lining in close around the Gulf Islands. Winter is the time of the year when the big snapper can be caught in the rocky shallows not far from the central city. Your investment in one of these trips will reap ongoing dividends from your winter fishing trips – Bruce will show you some likely spots in close – rather handy in view of the rising cost of fuel.

Join us for an afternoon of Winter fishing usually on a Wednesday and Friday or make up a group of 6-8 mates and get your share of this great opportunity. Other days are available subject to confirmation of availability along with full day trips.
