Being a newbie to the Manukau ( a year since we moved to the best place in the country) it's awesome to see so many Scallops in the 'rose garden' at the moment.

Snapper, now that's another story.....haven't seen many of then in the harbour since we went out, they must be back in soon.

They are definitely back in, loads of the damned things but mostly quite small. The last couple of times out we've been plagued with little snapper, eating the bait almost before it even hits the bottom.

Had a fish in Ropers Channel yesterday, had some fun with big Kahawai which were dispatched to the smoker, real tasty.
