Hey guys. Im a total newbie to surfcasting / land based and will be staying in Tasman, and then Pohara at the end of the month. Just wondering which species / the how and maybe a bit of where if possible? I understand the snapper will be moving offshore but maybe some gurnard about?

Got a bit frustrated at the lack of trout in the Motueka last year when I was up, so bought a surfcaster ;)
