Got the trailer back, they dumped it with a stabbed tyre on the way out of town.
Looks like they headed towards Napier, and there's a lot of space on the way out there.
Still, given up on the ute, but it was fully comp. The trailer would've been the biggest bugger to replace.
Cheers for the tip though.

Returning to the ramp only to find some low life has stolen your trailer (or in this case trailer + ute) is a sure way to spoil an otherwise great day on the water. Angry Hope you get your gear back..

I posted here the other day..had to withdraw my post as it wasnt PC correct.. anyway as a victim to a recent car break in .. daylight..busy st..while I was working..

The court system is to soft on this sort of crime >>theft..be it from cars /homes /or whatever..there is an element of trash that is forever wanting free handouts..whats ours is theirs..well so they think..there are generations of this type of low life in a family..from mother/father to children and to their children.
There is no easy fix..but a dam good deter-ant is needed..maybe we all become Muslim.. they loose their arms..but seriously..this place is going to the dogs..even if you speak your mind your still wrong... did the child abuse laws prevent child abuse..no.
Even if you catch someone in the act you can still get charged if they end up hurt..Im gob smacked the way this country has ended up

It's sad to see this beautiful country experiencing an increase in crime! Have moved over from crime-ridden SA and just hope that crime remains petty and crims don't start shooting people for their shoes etc as happened back home!
Hope you get your ute back mate!!

We had a wheel chair bound guy next door to us robbed twice now, we think it's the next door neighbors kids doing it, as no one knows when he is away or not but them.. you never ever rob the kids or or disabled that's just low,
