Well known professional kayak fishing guide Rob Fort has a wealth of experience in the art of fishing from a kayak. When combined with his underwater spearfishing background you have a vast amount of knowledge on the marine environment. This will be shared during the two day kayak fishing courses.

Run over the duration of a weekend there are two types of courses available catering to anyone who either wants to get into or is already into the sport of kayak fishing.

Attend the course to gain plenty of skills and meet other like minded enthusiasts while having fun.

TECHNIQUES AND TIPS FOR SUCCESS!

BEGINNER KAYAK FISHING COURSE

The beginner course covers the basic fundamentals and starts in the classroom followed by the participants learning the skills on the water. Topics covered include equipment, safety, maintenance, handling the kayak, paddling, learning to get back on your kayak from water as well as dealing with waves and other sea conditions. A full introduction to softbait fishing will also be covered in the classroom and this is followed by time on the water fishing with them during the second day.

All equipment is supplied with beginner course (including rod/reel if required). Fishing tackle for softbaiting is included in your free satchel bag containing product to the value of $70.

WHEN: Saturday 24th July - classroom 10 am to 1 pm and on the water 2 pm to 4pm, Sunday 25th July on the water for half day (4 hours) (times to be advised).

COST: $250 per person

ADVANCED KAYAK FISHING COURSE

The advanced kayak fishing course caters to those who want to further increase their skill level on the kayak and has classroom and on the water aspects. Participants will be treated to in depth instruction on topics like fish finder/GPS use, safety, paddling, plus the latest fishing techniques including knots, softbaits, jigging, stick baits, how to live bait shallow areas, deepwater and other types of lure use. The module on reel care showing how to prepare a reel for kayak use is sure to be useful for anyone wanting to learn how to do it themselves. The next day you will go out on the water fishing using all the techniques discussed the previous day in the classroom.
All attendees to the advanced course need to supply their own setup fishing kayak and other associated equipment including rod/reels and fishing tackle for softbaiting, light jigging and lure use (gear can be supplied for an extra cost). Some items are included in your free satchel bag containing product to the value of $70.

WHEN: Saturday 6th August - classroom 10 am to 2 pm, Sunday 7th August on the water for full day (6 -7 hours) (times to be advised).

COST: $199 per person

Every person who attends one of the courses will receive a Berkley satchel carry bag with fishing and kayak accessories inside. This also includes a full instructional manual (book) covering all the topics discussed during the specific course. This is a fantastic resource that can be referred to at any time.

Classes are also limited to a small number of persons per session meaning anyone attending will have a more one on one experience.
