Lake Rotorua's surface water temperature rose 0.4 of a degree betwen 6am and 10am this morming to 21.7 degrees C.  The algae level has  dropped from 3.4 to 1.5.  The wind has swung west of North from south west and risen to 15kph.  Barometric pressure has risen 0.8 of a degree to 1032.8hPa.  At 1.55 it is 19 degrees C with a westerly wind of 5kph.  The expected high will be around 22 degrees C and the outlook for tomorrow is showers and rain for Friday.

Lake Rotoiti's surface water temperature rose 0.11 of a degree to 21.4 degrees C.  The thermocline is around the 14 to 16 metre mark.
