After a well looked after / serviced stella 14000XG with or without line , no rod needed. 

try here before i look towards buying a new one.

cheers for the offers of reels , have purchased one off 86mad View Drop Down  , but Oneday View Drop Down also had a good one and at a great price if anyone's in the hunt.
