Several things
1/quite a few of boat built in nz have something along these lines as an option or part of the package.. For many yrs now. Yep great concept
2/has this advertising post been approved thru the site moderators?
3/ a bit marketing piont is ppl not using boats cause of single person launch retrieve.. Be it a roller or keel boat to launch/retireve at a ramp solo is not difficult.. Even for large 6.5m boats plus.
4/this still requires driving the boat up on the trailer.. Something frowned upon at many ramps as it undermines the end of the ramps causing damage.
5/ most keel trailers can be difficult to line up and get the keel sit square on roller. So maybe not suitable for these???

I would realy, Ike to see a system that can launch and retirive solo without driving the boat up both wobbly and keel rollers that can improve current tried and true methods...
Yep looks like a great product.. Nothing new in concept to what has Ben in common use for very long time here in nz

Im assuming you have already seen the automatic boat loader by Balex Marine Steps?   Looks like a really nice bit of kit for unloading as well as loading without having to drive on.

Yeah a couple boats had them at our old east coast club ramp..
Big bucks thu... way out of our pocket range
They are not light either with all the hydraulics and stuff.
Also CCA power requirement.. from memory was bigger than the battery in my old low duration SB chevy cranking 220lbs.. and bigger than our 150 V6 outboard.
Besides that apparently they cant be set up for keel trailers (??)

A question .. digres here.
Launching.. one unhooks the winch from the bow, and slides the boat off.. and someone holds a bow rope (painter ?). Go park up.. then pull the winch hook to rear of trailer ready for fast retrieve..

Have often thought about remove shackle, leave winch hook attached, and push the boat off.. it stops at the end of the winch rope, then drive forward a few meters pull boat into shallows , un hook winch and secure painter.. bow rope go park.

Anyone actually done this?
Why should it not be done?
 Maybe have a 10mm x 500mm bungee section?

No boat at present, but my old Stabi 1750 centre console had a locking cleat on top of the winch.

Launching, I took a wind of the painter around thevwinch post, slacken off the winch & unhook. A flick of the rope and it slides off.

Retrieve, pull the boat onto the trailer (rollers so it’s fairly easy) and slot the painter into the cleat, then casually stroll down and hook up the winch.

Not my idea, git it from someone here...
