Ok lets get the bad one out of the way, Tuesday, high hopes, reports of fish virtually jumping into the boat, went south of Albatross, all of our usual haunts, bloody spiny dogs, and more spiny dogs, shifted 3 times for the same result, home time, in the bin, 1 yes 1 34 cm snap, almost skunked, spotted a workup on the way in and a dozen sea going Kahawai saved the day.
Wednesday, went north, same again, plenty dogs and a few nice carrots, a pesky mako gave us the run around, was a good smoker size so he went in the bin, shifted out past Gannet and bingo, snaps all on
Greg with a couple of good Kawhia pannies.
All dun and dusted in an hour and a half.
Greg with his Mako, note the tag, was going to let it go and claim first Mako of the season (pin fish), have you paid your sub, no, bugger, better keep it, powerfull little blighters, smashed his rod, got a tail rope on it and a couple of smakes with our custom baseball bat and in the bin it went, finished off a good day.
Cheers
