If you’re looking for info on how to cross the Manuaku Bar safely, your first step should be the FREE seminar we’re holding on Wednesday 5 July, from 7pm. Experienced Coastguard volunteers/tutors will give you advice and tips specific to crossing the treacherous Manukau Bar. While the evening won't fully equip boaties lacking the experience to tackle a bar crossing, this information is vital for those currently undertaking crossings or considering it.

• Local area knowledge such as channels and leads
