Had to decided to hang on to this, but it needs to go.

Mint condition Sage One 1090-4, 10 weight 4 piece.
Can provide photos if required, but there is really no point.

$400 can post at buyers expense.

Cheers

One of the best rods on the planet for casting at cruising kingfish. That's an easy entry into the top end of the market for someone Thumbs Up

Agree there Craig. Very awesome wading stick. I'm actually getting a custom one made up using a ONE #10 blank for that very thing.

How stiff is the sage 1? Not a broom stick?

Like a lot of fast rods the Sage One can feel a little stiff straight out of the tube but has a beautiful action when loaded with line and has a responsiveness that makes it an absolute cannon. I'm surprised no one has actually bought this rod. It is an absolute steal Thumbs Up

If this is for sale, it is a surprise. It could be sold for nearly twice that. Very sought after rod.

The thing that makes them such a great flats rod it the fact that the 10 is a bit tippy in action. So it is prefect for wading as the line is less likely to clip the water on when you have a good length of fly line out. The 40+ lb fish I tagged a couple of weeks ago was caught on a One #10 and it handled that beast with ease. I wouldn't fish a 11wt now at all.
