Has anyone given this stuff a go? Just picked up a spool today and you get a free spool of tough trace with the purchase! Bloody good value if it performs well, its a single strand of polyethylene fibre so is very smooth but seems to have a memory like the berkley fused braid. Will hopefully give it a run on the weekend. Cheers

Mixed opinions:- overhead setup with4kg, landed a nice 5kg snapper.
But on my spin setup with 8kg it keeps breaking, fluffed up so maybe a damaged guide? It's multistranded fused line, like Stren- note how the cut ends at knots splay out into a fluffy tag......

Yeah I have it on my 4 Kg rig. Very very thin, goes down any gap it can find! I'll keep using it for a while, but for now the jury's still out.

I have the 6kg SSP line on my softbait set which I use for snapper fishing and squid fishing... I have typically used light braid but the SSP craps on anything else I have tried in terms of strength and also casting.  It feels so smooth to fish with and I have landed 3 snapper over 10lb so far without any ill effect in the line.  You have to use leader though when snapper fishing.  I use the 20lb when softbaiting, the black magic fluoro is tough enough.

Since using the line I have noticed that I need to do 2 extra wraps on my back to back uni knot to connect it to the leader as it is so smooth (my mate uses an FG knot and also does 1 or 2 extra wraps)...it pulls down to be the same size knot as normal because it is so thin so no issues.  Strongly recommend SSP!
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man ta fish and he'll sit on the rocks and drink all day.
