sad news,no lifejackets again,not saying a jacket would of saved him but certainly helped

Sadly we'll never know the answer to that one PJC, but it would have certainly have helped tip the odds more in his favour.  I don't know the area, but sounds like they were in the wrong place for the type of boat they were in.
 
That surfer is a bloody hero though, could easily have been two victims if he hadn't been there -well done that man.
