Hi, I have just purchased a GT Kontiki for those days when the weather does not allow me to get out in the boat.  Planning on fishing Rabbit Island and Kina Beach, is there any other members that fish these areas? 
 
Likewise I have heard around Patons Rock and over at Aorere are pretty good.  I would be keen on trying to get into some of the elephant fish that are apparently around over on the coast too?
 
any help would be greatly appreciated

I dont kontiki fish but I reckon rabbit island would be all good . Could be a problem getting it snagged on the rocks around kina maybe? Used to be someone who did it reasonably regularly down the end of mckee domain, so that could be another option
