Here's an opportunity to be escorted over the Manukau Bar on Sunday by Coastguard vessels with a commentary from experienced Coastguard volunteers via VHF.

If you haven't done this course, DO IT. A well run day with some great information supplied by the team. I learnt a lot when I attended.
Those that say it can't be done are being overtaken by those doing it.

Ok the plan is that the boats that have registered will meet up at Blow Hole Bay at 1200 noon so you can launch from any ramp you choose. from there, you will be escorted over the bar and back in groups. Once back at the marshalling point you can then carry on with your day.

Cost is $25.00 per boat and prior registration including details of your boat is a must. We officially closed off registrations this afternoon but if you're serious and have a suitable vessel, send a PM and we'll see what we can do - the sooner the better!
