Provider.
I have the same hull with a 115 Opti.
Played around with motor height.
With 2 POB 45lt tote we now get 35Kts.
20Kts in 1 metre wind waves.
If I was to build again I would invest in a hydraulic jackplate.
That way I could dial in engine height on the fly.
Would not bother with the deck tread plate either.
Go for the flat plate and cover with something easy to remove/clean.
Get the keel plates welded on if you wish to beach launch.
Cheerz
Peace.Via superior firepower..

Sorry for the late reply Andrew.
Yes I have a yammy 115 four on the back.
The fastest I have had mine up to is 5800rpm and 69km per hour.
I'm not much of a prop changer etc but I'm happy with that.
At the end of the day these aren't big boats and after reading some articles on these boats the Writers make out you can go full tit anywhere in all sea conditions.
They still crash around abit if you give it the herbs like any boat.
You have to be careful in these boats as I've mentioned earlier going to fast into a close swell you will bury the nose and have a greeny pour over into the cockpit.
But overall I love this boat it's the best small alloy boat I've owned the stability is great and the deck width is impressive on such a smallish boat.
If you were on a budget I would get a decent sounder and also a anchor winch.
Who needs flash paint / deck wash / sterio etc.
It's the first boat I've owned with a winch and it's the best money I've spent !
Trying to pull up a anchor on this type of boat is a pain due to taking in water up front plus smashing your elbows on the door.
Regards pete

Wise words from Peter there.  If I was buying a winch I would splash out on a drum winch.  I have an electric capstan on my boat, but I still dislike going up the front to drop/retrieve the anchor when I am alone.
