Well decided to give it a go........................

Beautiful day - left ramp after rugby - quick jig at North reef - no good, so out came the plastic.

Towed small lures and skippy lures over the kumara patch for a couple of hours
, 1 sunfish seen - no strikes.

Best water temp 18.2.

Hopefully back out in a couple of weeks.

Thanks Al
Sorry been a tad busy to jump on line. Two traces rubbed up just above the hook. One also oval (squashed). Didn't see either fish. One was a fairly long run but fell off as soon as drag increasedCry. Collected 38 Skippie's solo too so bait sorted for the next 12 months. Fished North out as far as 300m Early finish (14:30) as wind got up 20+.

Doug, you could always classify the jobs from on board "YKnot", response times may be a bit longer than usual, I'm on call next Friday.
Those that say it can't be done are being overtaken by those doing it.

Great effort, pitty about the Outboard fail. Guess that means that Turtle didn't get out either then. Rumors of 2 seen yesterday off oceans/ back of chicks in around 150ish but they are rumors and not from a well regarded source.

Fished North of the Knights yesterday, best temp 20.7. 3 skippies, 1 albert. Had a small stripey in the gear, had a crack at a few of our lures, but didnt stick. Nice day out on the water!
