Coastguard 81, and 63. Team "Yknot" will be out west tomorrow.
Those that say it can't be done are being overtaken by those doing it.

Congrats to guys that got fish out there. Certainly turned out to be a mint day with nice glassy water most of the afternoon, looked fishy out there most of the day with skippy's everywhere and lots of bait on the sounder, no marlin seen for us tho. Got a couple of albacore for tea and half a dozen skippys to keep the bait situation happy. Was the first trip out in the new boat and I'm happy with how it went, nice quiet 4 stroke on the back is nice and fuel computer said about 100l used for the whole day out trolling and all the way down the harbour and back up. No doubt will get better as I find it's sweet spots

ANother Picture of happy angler.

Beeen chasing one of these for a while now, and finally did it from me own boat. Thanks to all who shared tips and info. Thanks to Yeehaa boys who weighed it for us, as decision was made to kill fish.

First for boat, skipper and angler.  Have chased these guys from Hokianga to Aldermans this year and a few other places so very happy.  Was about to switch into livebaiting yesterday in a zone where others had had hookups when this guy popped up on short corner right behind the witch doctor.

Every fish raised on my 17'6" boat has always been in that position and there were a bunch of boats around us soaking baits. Had the fish in about 10minutes and got a wrap but it powered off. Got it back though soon enough.

Excellent to do it right on Aucklands doorstep too.

Have to break the news to my wife soon, that I will now be trying to catch a broady.

:)

Well done, i was listening to the action out there it all sounded busy. I wouldn't be surprised that those with baits had ynot and supermodel among them.
It's an excellent result for you.
