The bottom one is what I am trying to replicate. Altho may have a crack at the top one too, later. That is also deceased.

The head I am trying to make is a bit more complicated than it looks.
Off center weighted head with a slight cupped face.
Jumping in at the deep end for my first try. Had to make a mould for the weight, but that is all done, and just hoping for catalyst today.

Sounds like the Pacific Bait head. Got a Mrs Palmer & Fruit Salad and both work well.

I milled one on my lathe, out of Al bar - 2 mirror halves.
But from what I have seen on some internet sites, you can pour lead into some of the 'rubber' moulds too.

After 40 min fishing I pulled the pin on it. Leave some for another day. Bit of a buzz when you get your first fish on your own lures. I can see I am going to be busy at work over the Xmas period.

Haha, you will start looking at containers of all sizes to see if you can use them as a mould.
Great thou when you land fish on own lure, well done.

Looking for some info of fitting vinyl skirts,( and no not for me, on lure heads.)
Videos I've seen run only outer skirts with newalls? On inner. Any idea where we can get these from, or alternative options.

With vinyl, wouldn't ados adhesive be ok?

Light coat both surfaces, allow to go off/cure for a minute or two before sticking to lure head...??

Cheers Paul, just finished a trial with outer skirt, happy with result.
Will try your recommendations for inner, from what I've seen they don't run a full inner to keep weight down and improve action.

Geoff. Here's a few photos of an Arfman original. Vinyl outer and traditional inner.
Hes fitted the outer skirt reserved over the lure head first and then attached the inner which fastens the top edge of the out skirt. Once that is secured, pull the vinyl skirt back over both the head and inner skirt.
