am looking at upgrading the motor on my boat just think its slightly underpowered 13ft2 sea nymph with a 25 on it at the moment and am thinking 35-40 but have seen quite a few resonably priced 50hp or would this just be right over the top plse,talking cheap here under 2k,just wondering at moment what peoples thoughts are
i just want to go fishing..........amd ignore all my adult problems

A mate had the same boat with a Suzuki 40hp and it went fine. No need to go up to a 50.

i think you would need to strengthen the transom if u r going in for a 50 HP.

got a few on watch list now ranging from 40-50hp,funny thing is you can buy a better boat,trailer,mtr package than you can a motor on its own

I had a Seanymph v13  with a 40 hp Johnson. Great performance. we thrashed it out diving.
The floor cracked around where it joins the hull and it had a leak we could never find.
Changed hull for a Figlass Fireball. That was in 1980.
Be careful with an old hull and to much horsepower.
Looked after they will be great.

good little boats then sea nymphs mines got a 50hp brown band merc on it and it gowes well for a oldie just sorting my seating out in mine then back on the water if you get a merc watch out for crap trim units
also woulnt mind going up the river in a little convoy mission hahahaha i might need more than two tote tanks though
