Few years ago I used something very similar while fishing off some local cliffs. Cant remember catching anything on them. Only used them the once. They stay on the hook well .
They didn't look as fancy as these thou.
We have an abundance of purple crabs here in Taranaki that look very similar to these so I just grab a couple out of the rocks and use them fresh. Spotties love them

Would go the beach, at night... I have never done well with real or fake crabs off the rocks during the day. Dont know why though, have found plenty of them in the stomachs of snapper caught.

here fishy, fishy fishy.....

Speaking of the savage gear lures, has anyone tried these?

Reckon they might go ok as a kingi lure off the rocks?

Those eels were a hot thing in kayak fishing circles for a while, but don't seem to get much coverage now. I tried them, caught a few fish, but don't think the are anything special.
