Sorry if this has already been posted, but came across it today - a BAF swoffing for tailing big snapper in .5 meter water - great stuff!

Yep Wolfie, it was posted in NZ thread by Will with a bit of comment following regarding the Parengarenga situation. Adam headed that way in the weekend. Waiting to hear if he found any action. Weather was perfect on Saturday, but started to fall apart a bit on Sunday.

Yip
was a nice couple of days,
had no wind on sat morning, then it steadly got up
was out on the skiff on sat and stalking on foot on sunday morning,
wasnt at P harbor, but another spot,
crystal clear conditions
didn't see any tails',but found plenty of big kahawai in shallow honing around sandbar edges, great sightfishing,
landed a couple of nice snaps[40/50cm] that were lurking in current flows.
was hopeing for some trev action,no such luck.
great trip, learnt heaps about the area
had an encounter with some Orca, a big mother and her pup in shallow
and a pod out in achannel scaring the **** out of everything!
think ill leave it toseptember/October for another adventure,
eeven tho I hooked into a few, it wasn't exactly loaded with fish.
other anglers[a couple of dudes] felt the same, had to work for it.
