To answer the question Mercury vs Suzuki, if you have a local dealer for both then I would go Mercury 150hp Four Stroke, longer Warranty, lighter, simpler to service, large displacement vs output, I really like these motors, over engineered, basic servicing very simple to do yourself.

That's not to say that the Suzuki or any other brand isn't good, if you can save a few thousand then that changes things but if costs are similar, well you have my opinion.
