Anyone who doesn't know me well calls me "Jack". (It's an assumption on their part to do with my work, but that's another story).
So many years ago I had a 14ft Fryan and a mate wanted to call it 'Jack's Off'.
I never did name it.Confused

Caught my first Yellowfin out of a 14ft tinny and then quickly needed a name for the weigh station board. Boat is now called "Dog". Caught a lot of fish at Waihau Bay out of "Dog" in the late 80's.

My own boat which was purpose designed/built to fish the Three Kings etc for Marlin is called "Tagit". Amazing how many people never work it out until told though.

A charter boat down here in Westhaven called "Luv Boat". Not very original I guess but they do operate singles nights Wink

I've had a couple of Apex Predators now.  The first was originally just Predator.

Was fishing up north a few years ago and there was another very similar boat also named Predator and they were staying at the same campground so a fair bit of banter, especially over the radio.  Anyway we weighed a fish while the other crew were watching on the last day of this comp and on the spur of the moment I added Apex to the boat name on the board.  I can still see the look on the other skippers face, the name sort of stuck after that.

My current boat is named Renegade which I don't mind so I haven't changed it.

Not a boat name, but when we did a pub quiz we called our team "in third place" which sounded good when he had to say, in forth place is in third place. Still lost though.
