We put the truck in for a WoF.. and got a letter from 'transport our diesel road user charges had expired.. fair enough
They where just expired not much, so missus goes on line and pays them...plus enough to cover another 10,000 kms
All good right? Nope!!
We get another letter.. outstanding charges...only on maybe 1000km if that..
So ring them up..
The amount she paid is only for the future usage, therefore we paid for over 10,000km plus , but not the previous outstanding !!!
The outstanding must be paid separate, but there is nothing we can see that explains this.
IF we have been stopped, even thu the road user charge cert is current and will cover for the next 10 or 12 months we would still get a ticket for the outstanding charges.
It is not the 1st time we have been late updating, but have never had this BS before.. so it remains we still have outstanding charges .. how much .. seems no one knows...
Be nice to have constancy.. rego, if late, when paid automatically pays the arrears.. road user.. doesnt
Bureaucracy ...
So a warning if your diesel road user has expired, when you pay it, you are only paying for future mileage, the outstanding is still outstanding and must be paid separately...
