Hi team, I've been looking at new reels such as the shimano baitrunner 12000OC/D, Finnor biscayne FBS80, Penn spinfisher SSV10500 etc you get the idea. I came across this reel and was curious whether anyone has any experience with the Abu Garcia Pro Max 60 reel?

The specs are:
Reel Features:
  • 6 ball bearings + 1 roller bearing provides smooth operation
  • Lightweight graphite body and rotor
  • Machined aluminum spool provides strength without adding excess weight
  • Everlast bail system for improved durability
  • Slow Oscillation provides even line lay with all types of line
  • Rocket line management system provides better control for all types of lines
  • Rocket Spool Lip Design allows better control of line coming off the spool

Reel Specifications:
  • Gear Ratio: 4.8:1
  • Bearings: 6+1
  • Weight: 380
  • Max Drag (kg): 9
  • Capacity (ft): 190/10

What I'm thinking is that it's quite a cheap option for a spin reel with 9kg drag at about $90. Not sure about the quality though. Thoughts?

Hard to go past the shimano, proven reel, good resale, though probably a reel you will have for life.
Just cruising in my now sweetas pimped out Southern 755 HT0!

Thanks for that. Are you a distributor of Himenlens rod/reel or something?

I ended up with the Fin Nor Biscayne 80 with 38 lb drag currently on 30lb mono. The rod is Jarvis Walker pro series 850 10-15kg 2.1m. Couldn't say no to this combo for $150 LOL
