Hi, I need to send a couple of rods, largest is a 2 pce 8' topwater rod. Looking at some they restrict package lengths, any recommendations?

Go to a carpet store as they have plenty of cardboard tubes laying around - try post haste or fastways or NZ couriers they all much in a muchness

I've got the box (from buying a 2 Oce top water rod) but the company website doesn't seem to transport longer pacjpkages unless you have an account.
Guess I'll wrap it and shop around.

Reply is probably too late but i use pass the parcel, have found them bloody good and well priced, they do up to 180cm.

Cheers, I rolled them up in single layer cardboard- ripples but only one flat side, then inside the cardboard rectangular box, 1.8 M long.
Bay of Islands to Aucks $15 and arrived safely.

That's a good news story. I've got a couple of mates who are couriers they reckon the safest way to get rods from A to B is to hitchike 😄
They openly admit the fragile sticker means nothing to most couriers.
