Hey all

Was lucky enough yesterday to boat my first Marlin! Out from whakatane A nice 119kg stripey, with only the one jump just after the first run while we where clearing gear to let us know who was knocking! A rather short fight followed before we had him following the boat and leader was wrapped with gaff sinking home! Stoked as! Awesome work by the team mates!

And first fish on the setup also brought from Swordfishsteve! Livefibre swordrod and outriggers!

Gear did the trick for sure!

Wow, that's a great result.
Treasure that moment, we all remember our first and our endeavours getting the next.
Dine out on that experience it's well worth it.
Just cruising in my now sweetas pimped out Southern 755 HT0!

Got my 1st on a charter. All I did was lift it out of holder and wind it in. Got way more satisfaction casting and landing a brown trout on a dry fly.

This guys first was his own gear with just his buddies.. Way better experience than mine.
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken
