Gladiator steamed back last night from 35 miles west of north Cape with a potential NZ yellowfin tuna record. 
Debbie from Houhora kindly agreed to weigh it for us at 7.30am, weighing 76.6kg, a pending NZ women's 60kg lineweight record. 
Heading back out now to north Cape for the remaining 4 days of the Nationals, unfortunately without deck boss Brad Bennetto who was having major problems with wisdom teeth infection. He soldiered on the last two days on antibiotics but he reluctantly has left to get medical attention. 
No reception now for a few more days so will post final results at end of week.
