An odd story. Someone dumped their illegal catch because they got jittery? A recreational netter simply caught too many? I'm not a big fan of net fishing, commercial or otherwise for obvious reasons.

It is a large amount even for 1 setting of a net..

So maybe as you say " Someone dumped their illegal catch because they got jittery?"

May may originated from the Bay Of Is ,last year there was a big bust up that way with freezer loads do you recall that ?

But bigger than a 1 persons operation ?

Thats sad and very strange, but then again we are living in strange times.
Doubt it would be a commercial fisherman, why would a commercial dump his living after going to the trouble of cleaning them. Just would not happen.

In fact why would anybody clean them and then dump them.

Very unusual event, just dosent make any sense.
