Fished out of the bay today, some nice water in close with a few skippies in it.

Fished out to 150 off the pin but not a whole lot of life a few birds sun fish and tide lines but didn't see any work ups or much bait up high in the water colum.

Didn't hear of any hook ups on the radio but that's not unusual for the bay because everyone likes to be secret squirrel.

Ended up live baiting some structure in 100m as for zip...

Fire brigade tourny run out of Russell starts tomorrow.
Brown water out to 130m so I am told but pretty blue beyond that.
Will be interesting to see where the fish are, only one boat out today.

Mate of mine currently waiting for a courtesy weigh at Paihia for a stripey caught by his wife onboard their boat Awesome, getting weighed at 6.30pm tonight. They spent the morning livebaiting skippies in 160m off the cape, she had to deal with 2 Makos and a big Hammerhead before the target species was hooked.
They wanted to tag it but came in backwards so its off to the smoker.
