Cheers guys! Very good feeling getting one this side of xmas.

What a tough fish!! 4hr fight time on 12kg of drag with 9:0 Bonze Light Gauge, the last hr of the fight was sunset with hand on spool!

Congrats to Mark on popping his cherry!

Few Blues caught now - BOI, Tuts and Whiti. Interesting that the SST  temps are only around 20ish (temps out of Whitianga are <20 degrees C) but a few blues about. Any thoughts on that folks?

Paul, you mean the blues are back because one of their favourite foods, the YFT, are back - I'd buy that...
Or do you mean the lack of food due to the YFT hoovering up all the bait - not sure I agree with that one as there was lots of squid out there  I think :)
