Out of Brett right now. Had a mint arvo yesterday, glassed off @ 1700 20.5deg water out between 200 and 250m but nothing seen. Bit of bait deep and three purse seiners hitting it but we didn't see a skippy or albert.
10-12 kn now and hoping to get a few hours in before it packs up.

That's good since it was me who sold them to you...
Since our trip out to the trench and down to the Naki I've been gagging to get out and try a bit of this game fishing on my own boat, so I'm heading to BOI this week to give it a crack.

Tagged a est85kg stripey and a est225kg blue at the start of the week.

Both on Bonze Trojan in Jellybean with Light Gauge Hooks and both fight times about 35min.

Water was 22.8 late arvo on Monday where i was fishing 😏

I swear short corner blue marlin bites could give a jellyfish a hard on. 🤓

How's your ticker Matt? You got your clearance to fish next week?
Thinking we will set up in the bay for the week.

Hook seems clear at bottom. I don't use double hooks so may be bottom hook can be clear. Or may be the skirt is not fully stretched.
Just an observation so don't want to start a s### fight

Well there you go, never to late to learn. I always thought the barb had to be with in the skirt.
