Well what can I say........................ It was a very nice day on the water but myself and the FEW others on the RT had a very quiet day. I saw two other boats all day (discounting the trip in to port). Not too many out having a look and that doesn't help the stats. Good water and temperatures everywhere but the fish are ?????? Started South and did the loop around to Kumera patch. Stayed in that general area 150 -170 most of the afternoon. Found bait, a few birds and the odd Gannet.

Ohh well Doug sounds like another nice day out. Like all of mine this year. At least your out there and am sure your perseverence will payoff. Not up this weekend or next( my daughters birthdays). But will definitely be trying following weekend which think must be just about easter.
Good luck!

Another weekend for zilch for us..  back of the pinicles to the 400 hole and wider on Sat..  was just a bit too much breeze for us to do a drop at the hole..  and it was a bit crowded anyway.. considered it for a while before trolling back over the kumera patch to stay the night at the knights.  Was quiet on the radio.. not much bait or birds seen... although skippies were in patches..

Sun went to a pin and got a feed of red snapper trevs and terikihi..  trolled down to top end of oceans..  a few more mutton birds down there.. but still no luck.

I think I should check the boat for bananas..  somethings not going right Geek

With it being such a lean season out of tutukaka you really have to do your home work and fish where the fish are......unfortunately that means travel but luckily many of us are on a trailer and able to do that.....
Whangaroa and north has been, and still seems to be the best bet at the moment
Ive got 2 weeks off from easter and will be watching very closely as ive got 4 days up my sleeve for the solo comp
