Just bought a Stella 400 and loaded with 20 lb Tasline braid.
Just a Q on the drag. Should I grease the carbon drags with Cals grease or just leave alone?

Be very carefull with Stella drags those carbon washers are waifer thin and expensive to replace .You cannot bend in any way Cry . Shimano have special grease they say should be used but they work just as they are.If using grease do so sparingly. I grease the metal washers so I dont have to handle the carbon ones to much.

Cheers - have seen carbontex drag washers for sale at about $20.
Get your point about greasing the washers and not the delicate drag washers.

What model 4000 have you got? im assuming the new SWB ? they are the only 4000 size to have the carbon drag washers, if i were you I would leave as is and let Shimano re grease the metal plates when you get your reel serviced.
