Hi,

Have a real problem. Have put reel in for service cause found the drag slips but in 1 spot only.
They are having a hard time trying to find out where/what is exactly causing the issue.

I'm guessing you'd prob need to see reel yourself to check it out... unless you have some idea's what is causing issue...

cheers
John

Hi John
Ok will need to see the reel as there are a few things that can cause drag slip, if it is one spot only on drag lever position then that would indicate a drag cam issue, but loose braid on spool, or corroded spool under drag fibre washer can also cause issues, anyway surprised that the repairer you have taken it to is not able to sort it out, cheers swordfishsteveSmile

Hey guys. I'm after a big game reel and rod that I can also use for deep sea fishing. Any advice on what brands to stay away from and how reliable are the electric reels? Cheers
