Hi Guys and Girls

This great tournament sponsored by Fish City and organised and hosted by the Waikato Sport Fishing Club is being held 28th and 29th of November 2015. You do not need to be a club member to enter the tournament.

Fish City are a superb sponsor and the prizepool tops $10,000 in value. Top rod and reel gear including Shimano Stella gear up for grabs.

The club is also providing a $500 cash prize for a mystery weight snapper up to 4kgs and 5 X $100 cash spot prizes. You will need to be present at prizegiving on the Sunday evening for the $500 and 5 x $100 cash prizes and spot prizes to claim this if you are drawn otherwise it will be redrawn on the night. You do not need to be present at prize giving for the weighed in prizes.

This tournament also has junior and small fry sections with great prizes for the top 5 snapper in each of these divisions.

You can fish anywhere in NZ waters and merely have to have weighed in by 5pm on the Sunday at the clubrooms in Hamilton (or have your catch cards presented).  Bar will be open and a meal provided.

Full details, rules and entry forms at the club website www.waikatosportfishing.co.nz

There is a tournament promotion night on Tuesday 17th November at Fish City Hamilton premises where you can learn more about the tournament, the great prizes etc, on the night commencing 7.30pm. All welcome.

See you on the 17th and the 28th/29th!

Brian

That's a pain, same weekend as the Kawhia Boating and angling Club Snappa Casha contest, all this will do is split the numbers, pity, some date checking should have taken place, the Kawhia contest has been running for a few years now on the last weekend of November.
$5000 up for over 30 lb and very good cash prizes as well.

Cheers
The only bar to frequent is the Kawhia Bar

Hi feeder

We had to move our tournament to miss a clash with Raglan icebreaker unfortunate but it is a crowded calendar and we work to what suits our major sponsor as well.

No reason people can't enter both? If West coast is not fishable can fish Coromandel, East Coast etc.

Yep as Brimel says, just enter both tournaments, Snapper Kasha is the Friday Saturday according to the information on line. The Fish City Tournament is on the Saturday Sunday, there's nothing stopping you bringing your catch cards from the Snapper Kasha back to the WSFC on Sunday avo to claim prizes there. Pretty simple really as long as you enter both tournaments.

Not a bad way to score some great tackle and be in to win some CASH prizes for mystery weight fish as well.

Hi Geoff, not 100% sure about your question, I have found the Kawhia tournament details on facebook.

Here is details of club night for tomorrow (Tuesday Night) for our pre tournament night. (Do not have to be a club member to attend.)

November Club Night
Tuesday 17th November 2015 @ 7:30pm
at Fish City, 265 Kahikatea Drive, Hamilton.

And our ‘Mystery Guest Speaker’ is ….. none other than
Mandy Kupenga of “Get Your Fish On” fame!

Yes, that’s right folks.  Fish City and Waikato Sport Fishing Club are proud to be hosting Mandy Kupenga for our Club Night this coming Tuesday evening.  Learn all the tricks from Mandy as she tells us how to catch the winning fish for the Fish City Snapper & Kingi Classic.

But will she tell all?  Mandy is not only joining us on Tuesday night, but she’s teamed up with our very own Roger Bright for the tournament.

And to make the Club Night even more of a ‘must attend’, Haidee and the Fish City team will be offering discounted tackle on the night.  Further discounts are available if you present or buy your tournament entry on the night.

Well done to the Team at WSFC and Fish City for another great well run tournament. It was great to sit back as merely a participant (more like  a spectator) this year and see some great fish take away some even more awesome prizes. Congrats to Gordo George for taking out First and second Snapper and Brimel for taking out Third place Snapper.

Some pretty decent Kings were taken as well, up to almost 15kgs) , but I can't remember who caught them.

Agree Bob was great tournament, once the results are posted up on the club website I will copy them on here.

2 best snapper were taken off Papa Aroha, Coromandel, 3rd off Raglan, so East coast (sort of) beat West CoastOuch

Thanks WSFC and sponsors particularly Fish City for the recent Snapper and Kingi classic. This was the first time my son and I had entered and we both thoroughly enjoyed it as, I'm sure, the rest of the record turnout did. Good to see the juniors and small fry get their prizes and well done to those that got more than one. We will be back next year!
Best haul of fish we have had from Kaiaua for a while and very gratifying to surpass the catch of some friends who travelled all the way to Waikawau. "Fish your feet first" is kind of running through my mind here.
