They suit me just fine" Not at all surprised by that comment,look at most of the tuna(albies yft,whatever)you see in pictures. skin dry from being on the deck in the sun,not bled. sashimi? lol. even smoking it won't make it "good". Some of the best eating fish in the sea,only good for burley. Even the lowly skippy is fine fare if treated properly. Tuna should be gaffed only in the head and immediately on being brought on board iki'ed, bled by cuts under pec fins,have heavy mono or wire run down the backbone to destroy nerves gilled, gutted and iced. Then your fish will be as good eating as it could be,the difference is immediately obvious Blackbill put a good diagram showing how to bleed and iki them on here a year or so back maybe he could put it up again |
