We'll be using this thread to keep you up to date with the Nationals results as the week unfolds and good luck to everyone participating.

Anyone competing in the ne Nationals measure section can grab a handy app for android phones to submit their catches straight into the Fishing Comp website and NZSFC leaderboards.

For the app, either search in the Google App store for “NZ Fishing Competition”  or just click on this link.

Photograph the fish on the measure and then upload your catch as follows:

Click the NZSFC Entry menu icon & enter your catch. It will be uploaded to the Nationals measure section and the NZSFC length leaderboards. If you have previously registered for The NZ Fishing Competition then log-in first at the home page and your catch will also be added to the NZ Fishing Comp leaderboards automatically.

I understand that all tag cards have to be sighted [could be by photo ] by the club you are fishing for on the day of the catch, according to what my club told me! this would screw anyone trying to fish the Kings or anywhere else out of cellphone range , the rules are somewhat unclear, it mentions unless prior arrangements have been made, if you are away and can't contact your own club for 3 or 4 days can you submit your catches by radio via other stations? and then submit the tag cards on the final day.
can any one clarify this

Hi John
there is a new cell tower at Henderson bay, north cape is in range, so is the middle of tom bowling's bay out in middle.
correct that you make arrangements to radio your catch back to the club you are fishing for, the the club sends info into nationals, at your first chance you can photo the filled out tag card and text to your club recorder/ or email to club you are fishing for. your club will have a list of fish caught and your digital tag card images to confirm as sighted at end of nationals. y can relay information back to toots then toots verify your catch and send in results.

Are the boats at the 3kings fish not recorded till the photos of the tag cards sent, I know a few boats from the swordy club have a few fish, plus heath on noelani had at least 3 as of lunchtime yesterday not on there for tauranga. If so then those are irrelevant really. No mention of the 135kg big eye or Violators blue weighed at houhora either.

unfortunately we can only record fish results sent in from the anglers club anything else could leave us with egg on our faces.

clubs must report in by 7.30 to be included in that days results. any late fish will show in the following days results.

those fishing the Kings can sent pics of their tag cards via cellphone to their respective clubs, a new cell tower at henderson bay has improved coverage up in the  north cape area and north.

trolling one knot faster, one degree off course, is where we should have been yesterday? or !
