A boatload of "young" TK anglers were up that way out of Mokau on Saturday, Dave.

We fished the 50m line up from Waikawau towards Tirua Point. The temp was @ 21.4 degrees and the water colour was just OK. The bird life along with the bait fish improved the further up the coast we went.
We saw one "very" good fish tailing along just south of the point, but unfortunately he wasn't interested in us. A couple of other boats were working the same area and I believe one of them also sighted a fish.
We also spotted a free jumper off Waikawau on the way home.

We'll be back.........

Sounds like good water sitting South with fish caught by a cape member I heard thru the grapevine , perhaps this will be the year that a fish is caught from ops , that would be a 1st I think .
Few steinys at the tav that night boy.

Who's going to fess up and spill the beans as to which lures etc were used in the captures recently , perhaps even a autopsy report on stomach contents etc .
