My 10 th Solo Marlin, getting the hang of this lark. on Live Skippy after showing up under Bonze Dredge at 2 Knots! Only my 2nd day using dredge and released this, so great start to my season.

Top stuff Sam, think you've caught more than the entire season last season, bet that smoker is going hard
70ml of 90deg C water pressurised through 13g of roasted finely ground tamped coffee for 25sec's to make a distinguishing sensory hit called a Double Shot

That's really exciting news. Tuna being caught, dredges deployed and working, marlin being caught, smokers working hard, exciting news along the whole Eastern frontier, a great range of species being hooked and caught and belt notches growing legendary statuses.
Fine work Gentleman,"loosely used term"!
Just cruising in my now sweetas pimped out Southern 755 HT0!

Good to see that  Zucker ZTWG8 being towed again - used to be the #1 yft lure out of Whakatane....must have been a reason, eh?

Well done SFSteve!!

Hi Mike
I saw it under dredge just following for a minute before it shot over to eat live skippy, so not sure how long it had been there, but at least the dredge worked to raise the fish into my spread, the rest is up to you!
Careful only use a Bonze Dredge if you want to catch more fish DOH????Wink

Good luck out there guys, and please do not waste all the Yellowfin Tuna you catch this year like what happened down Whakatane one contest several years ago, dump was full of rotten Yellowfin
cheers SwordfishsteveSmile

Well done on tagging the majority Sam! Just shows that you don't have to kill everyone you catch. Good effort mate.

hey Steve shouldn't that be only use the new modal bonze dredge if you want to catch marlin , although as you have proved the old outdated ones still pull the odd one.

st bluewater have bonzes latest dredge and its pretty impressive , as is the whole shop its nice to get some retail therapy in a tackle store that only cares about 2 fish - that being billfish and bait, all that matters really.

Been out having a look and got onto a good patch of Yellowfin, they are full of squid, lures working Zuker zukini Fluro, lumo sprocket and a little mini Yee evil i run. we ended up 10/10 in 2 days ranging from 7kg up to 34.6kg, 4 of the 10 were from doubles and all the rest were single shots. good to see them around again, and looking at other captures around the country looks to be a blue season to me.

few photos below

more photos to come having comps problems
