Tried tried to write this up last night but was on verge of falling asleep at computer after hard out weekend fishing.

Saturday. Slackline, myself & my outboard techcian got out today with the forecast of a good day. Undecided as to where to go as fishing has been rather hard lately down here but went to a spot in 100m and 14 miles off the coast. Fishing was a bit slow at first but picked up as the mornning progressed, fish were mainly Terikihi not big all round the kilo mark, added to this were half a dozen nice snaps and some small kings just under the 750mm mark. After getting our fill we went for a quick drift in the deep Slackline managed 1 nice bluenose of about 7 or 8 kgs and a small bass & ling, Doug the same with his blunose being bigger 10 - 12 kgs.

Sunday. Out again making the most of the good weather forecast for the weekend, back to same spot fishing much the same as previous day except the Tera's were of a much greater size some good one's up round the 2 to 2.5 kg, caught 3 kings 1 each all round 10kgs and couple small puka's. Finished day off with another deep drift for 6 bluenose and couple ling. One boat while out drifting reported seeing what they believed was a school of bluefin they let a number of boats know but most either had suitable gear to catch them on but had no lures on board, one might have to carry couple extra rods next time out and not forgeting the lures.

All in all a great weekend for a change
