My best was 30g short of averaqge weight. Well done to forum member Wayno who is the first to ever win it twice! Even scarier, when he won it in 2013 he also won the raffle. Back then it was a 1 litre of rum. Thisyear it was a Shimano rod and reel set with a retail of close to $1000.00!</div><div><br></div><div>So good to have Wayno and his mate Barry stay with us, it has become a tradition.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>Ironically where we went for the last two hours from 1.00pn was about 300m from where Wayno was fishing. He said he didn't catch any fish after midday. It was our best spot!</div><div><br></div><div>We caught 7 gurnard, two snapper and 4 kahawai. Wayno &amp; Barry got 24 gurnard!&nbsp; What a great result. Winning fish was 1.18kg</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>]]>

All the reels have backing on and all except the Koma have lines on. Lots of lines, mostly Airflo 40+ floating and sinking, various sinking tips, spool of hollow core -can't remember the make, the Australian chap that made it as a replacement for Gudebrod when that became unavailable. 12 drawers full of fly tying stuff, feathers, fur, synthetic, hooks, tools, etc. Dyna-King salt fly vice, Stonflo rotating vice. Probably other odds and ends I've missed.</span></font><div><font face="Times New Roman, Times, serif" size="4"><span style="color: rgb8, 8, 9; : rgb240, 242, 245;"><br></span></font></div><div><font face="Times New Roman, Times, serif" size="4"><span style="color: rgb8, 8, 9; : rgb240, 242, 245;">Also 6 books of salt fly patterns and a couple of saltwater flyfishing books.</span></font></div>]]>

    <![CDATA[<strong>Author:</strong> <a href="https://www.fishing.net.nz/forum/member_profile.asp?PF=80162">Kevin.S</a><br /><strong>Subject:</strong> FC 595 For Sale<br /><strong>Posted:</strong> 06 Jun 2026 at 11:12am<br /><br />I have reluctantly decided to sell my boat.&nbsp; It really is not getting enough use to justify keeping it.&nbsp; It is a 2016 FC 595 with Mercury 115CT outboard.&nbsp; If you are not familiar with these boats, they are incredibly capable, very dry boats.&nbsp; Fitted with a flooding keel and separate ballast tank that can be filled as needed to aid stability.&nbsp; It has a drum winch fitted and completely flat front deck, as I wanted a forward casting platform.&nbsp; The front hatch is also fitted with a squab and locks in place to use as a seat.&nbsp; It has VHF and GPS/fishfinder, bimini with side clears, rocket launcher rod rack, live bait tank.&nbsp; Grip paint on sides and front of the boat.&nbsp; Motor has been flushed with salt away after every use and been serviced by the local Mercury dealer every year.&nbsp; It has less than 200 hours on it.&nbsp; I'll get some photos when the weather improves.&nbsp; I'm located just outside Waiuku, sea trials can be arranged for serious buyers.&nbsp; Looking for $50,000, which I think is extremely reasonable for the boat.&nbsp; The don't make the 595 any more, but a specced up 560 with 90 outboard is over $90k.]]>
