Taupo Fishing Report - Oct 3-10

  • Trout, Taupo

Great weather and just little bit of rain that over the past 24 hours has given those rivers that are fed from the Kaimanawa catchment some additional colour and lift in volume.

Fishing has remained steady with huge numbers of fish holding right throughout the fishery in all the rivers. The settled weather has made the fishing just a tad harder as fish have moved out of the holes and have been actively spawning.

The rainfall though that has fallen over the past 24 hours has given us the edge again and the fish are on the move. Conditions are perfect but angling pressure is still high with lots of anglers taking advange of the great conditions that we have enjoyed for months now.

Fish to the conditions and feel free to ask when where and how, if you need some info.

Lake fishing has been excellent with perfect conditions and little wind of late. Fish are holding close to the surface and in close at present.

Feel free to call for accommodation and or info anytime.

Cheers,

Pete and Stella
