The weather pattern that has predominant for several months now is delivering plenty of fish and plenty of rain.
The weekend looks like more rain, wind and a cold southerly turn that will bring more snow and cooler temperatures.Temperatures have been a little milder through the week and the rain we've had has provided some volume and runoff but generally not too much thank goodness.
Rivers are all in excellent condition and while the water table is high, the next 10 days are looking great with sunshine and little wind, excellent conditions for fishing
Numbers and condition of fish are generally good and most anglers have enjoyed excellent fishing, with great numbers. This season stands out to be one of the better ones for a number of years.
There has been reasonable angling pressure in all rivers, but there is plenty of water to fish. River mouths have had little pressure and there's still plenty of fish holding at the mouths. Those that have fished prior to the heavier rain have been well rewarded with some excellent trout.
The lake conditions have been good. The winds have been light and early morning, either harling in close or in the heavier water have resulted in some beauties.
Take care on the water and feel free to call for an update or accommodation
Cheers Stella
