Conditions are perfect at present and despite the fact that we have had quite a bit of rain its mainly been light. Cooler tempertatures over the past couple of days has pushed fish into the rivers.
Rivers are still high with reasonable volumes and you need to take care when crossing. The fishing has been up and down with some doing really well and others finding it hard to get onto the fish.
As when we have a lot of water like this year those that take the time to wetline and canvas the bottom of the rivers soon get a good idea of where the fish are holding.
As the rivers have additional volume they have been quite hard to read. For those that have fished over the past few days the fishing had been excellent with good numbers of fish and some nice freshies appearing which is really positive.
I feel that we will have a long and extended period of fish moving and entering the rivers for some time to go yet as the food sources in the lake have been great and the fish have not needed to run.
Those that enjoy fishing the latter part of the season will be well rewarded as the pressure eases and the fish run uninpeded. River mouths the smaller have continued to produce fish to the few that have takent he time to fish, little pressure as most anglers are fishing the rivers as such.
The larger mouths have had little pressure as the rips are huge and hard to define at present, the lake level being so high. Lake fishing has been consistant all season, with little wind affecting our winter months, fish are still quite deep though a few are appearing on the surface. Take care on the water and feel free to call for an update
