Good monring.
Just a quick up date on the fishery. The water table is high and good numbers of fish are still holding right throughout the rivers.
Volumes have moved up and down with rainfall that we have been getting - typical spring weather where we get rain sun and wind all in the same day. Pressure has eased on the rivers but there are still reasonable numbers of anglers that are taking advantage of the good conditions.
This time of the year can be challenging but there ae still good numbers of fish that are holding throughout. There have been several significant drops in bar pressure that has brought snow to quite low levels and that has pushed fish through into the lower rivers.
River mouths are still very fishable though the high lake level often puts anglers off as they find it difficult to find the rips. Smaller stream mouths have certainly fished well to date.
Lake fishing has been nothing short of awesome and that seems to be lakewide, good fish in excellent condtiion as weather conditions allow.
Take care on the water, call for an update and if you need accommodation. We have a couple of houses available at Te rangiita available for summer.
