The Shimano Plays family of powerassisted reels just got bigger. Shimano NZ has included the 1000 size to the range to cater for the increasing numbers of Kiwi anglers utilising the benefits of power-assisted reel technology.

The Shimano Plays range features: a fine-dot LCD screen that improves readability in most light conditions; Shimano’s precision S-ARB bearings; as well as super-free-spool technology to reduce friction and heat when dropping baits into the deep.

Specs and features for the Shimano’s Dendou-Maru Plays 1000 Power Assist electric reel are as follows: 70cm retrieve per crank; 6+1 bearings; dependable star drag; a braid capacity of 440yd of 40lb; and a speedy gear ratio of 5.1:1.
